Microgaming Wins the Digital Product of the Year Award – Again!

For an impressive third year in a row Microgaming has won the Digital Product of the Year award at the prestigious Global Gaming Awards 2016. Microgaming’s non-downloadable Quickfire platform ensured them the award this year, whereas last year it was Microgaming’s Jurassic Park online pokie which helped them secure the same award.

“Congratulations to Microgaming, one of the biggest names in the digital supply industry who has once again had a tremendous year, spearheaded by this year’s digital product of the year, Quickfire,” said the Gambling Insider Editor, Alex Hammond. The Global Gaming Awards celebrates the achievements from the past 12 months in both digital and land based gaming.

In one of the toughest categories, the expert panel of 60 judges noted the huge impact that Microgaming’s impressive Quickfire product has had on the digital gaming industry over the past year. This cutting edge platform supports various Microgaming products including Multi-Player, Poker, Bingo, Mobile, Live Dealer and Casino software.

Quickfire can now be found at more than 400 fully licensed online gambling websites and there are more than 600 games for players to enjoy with new releases arriving all the time. Towards the very beginning of 2016, Microgaming also launched an innovative game management module called Quickfire iQ. This basically gives operators complete control over player incentives, free games, achievements and multipliers.

“This win highlights the incredible progress of Quickfire since launching in 2010,” said the Director of Quickfire, Andrew Clucas. He continued, “The platform has emerged as the product of choice for operators who require immediate access to the best online gaming content from Microgaming and select development partners. It’s great to see the industry celebrate the content, flexibility and innovation of Quickfire.”

Also winning an award at this year’s event was MGM Resorts International who won the Customer Loyalty Program award AND also the Land-Based Operator award. The Digital Gaming Innovation award went to NYX Gaming Group. SG Interactive - SG Universe won the Land-Based Industry Supplier award and IGT – PlaySpot won the Casino Product.
